First of all I ordered the "yellow" to which is more of a cream/gold. It's very pretty in my opinion. The fit is great. I was looking for a longer robe. I am 5' 6" and the robe hits me right about the knee. I order a medium and weight 145 lbs. I measure the robe while tied and it was about 41 inches tied. I'm sure I could have gone down a size and it would have still covered me but with a robe I would would prefer to have extra fabric that too little. That being said when I pull it as tight as it can go on me the sides reach the belt look so a large might have been to large. I highly recommend this product.
